Can I be a tutor if I'm under 18?

No. You must be at least 18 years old to register as a tutor on our platform.

Can I share my number and email with a student?

We kindly advise against communication between students and tutors outside of LiveXP, as well as sharing personal contact information, such as phone numbers, email addresses, social media links, and similar details. These practices are not in line with our Etiquette guidelines.

This policy is in place to ensure the safety and privacy of both our tutors and students.

Do you provide any materials for teaching?

On LiveXP, tutors have the freedom to design their lessons as they see fit. We don’t supply any teaching materials.

We know though how crucial a structured approach is for success in education. That’s why we’ve introduced the Personalized Learning Path (PLP) — to supercharge your tutoring experience and support your students on their learning journeys.

Currently, the Personalized Learning Path is available only for English, but we’re working on expanding it to more languages in the future.

What do I need to become a tutor?

To become a tutor on LiveXP, you need to:

  1. Be passionate about teaching languages.

  2. Meet LiveXP's Requirements and Expectations (you can find them in our Performance and Collaboration Agreement).

  3. Complete the tutor registration process and receive approval to start teaching on LiveXP.

How much do Tutors earn?

How much tutors get per lesson (their rate) is based on their tutor level. Read more about the LiveXP Earning System and "How the LiveXP tutors get paid" in the articles:

Can I be a tutor and a student at the same time?

Of course, you can. However, on LiveXP, you are only allowed to have one account.

If you wish to be both a tutor and a student, you may have one account for each role—one as a tutor and one as a student.

Multiple accounts for the same role are not allowed to avoid confusion with lessons.

What if I decide to stop teaching on LiveXP?

Once you decide to stop teaching on LiveXP, please ensure that you terminate your account in accordance with the requirements outlined in the "Suspension and Termination" section of the Important Terms for Tutors.
