Can I conduct the lesson on the other platforms?

Only in exceptional cases.

☝🏻All lessons must primarily take place on LiveXP.

However, if you encounter technical issues or unforeseen circumstances, you may use Zoom, Skype, or Google Meet ONLY with your student’s consent. Please ensure that you explain the situation and the need to switch platforms clearly.

⚠️ Lessons purchased on LiveXP cannot be conducted on other educational platforms offering similar services.

If you need to conduct lessons outside of LiveXP, kindly refer to the article to ensure proper adherence to the procedure.

Can I conduct group lessons?

No. Currently, LiveXP offers only one-on-one lessons and does not support group lessons at this time.

How will I know that someone has booked a lesson with me?

  • Once a student books a lesson with you, you get a message from them. On the website you'll see a red dot on the message icon in the top right corner of the screen. Click it and find lesson details in the message.

💡We encourage our tutors to install our LiveXP mobile app for Android and iOS. With the app, you'll get all the necessary notifications about lessons and messages.

  • You can also sync your LiveXP schedule with your Google Calendar to get reminders there as well and to avoid any overlapping events.

Can I reschedule a booked lesson?

Yes, if the other participant agrees to do it.

If you know you can't make it to a lesson, let the other participant know as early as possible and send a reschedule request suggesting another date and time.

Students and tutors can send reschedule requests directly to each other whenever they need. All the recipient of the request has to do is accept or decline it.

As simple as that!

Can I cancel a lesson with a Student, and how?

As a tutor, you cannot cancel a lesson via your account. If you need to cancel a lesson, please get in touch with the student and ask them to cancel or reschedule, informing them of the reasons you can not make it to class.

If your student fails to reply, please contact Support for assistance.

I missed my lesson. What should I do?

If you know in advance that you can't make it, let the student know as early as possible and send a reschedule request.

If you missed a lesson and didn’t notify the student in advance, then:

  • Mark the lesson as "Lesson didn't happen" and specify the reason. This way, you will let us know that it didn't take place.

  • Message your student as soon as you can, explain the situation, and apologize. Students are usually understanding when you reach out to them in time. Things happen!

  • Make up for the inconvenience. Offer a free lesson or send them some useful materials as compensation.

  • Offer another day and time to schedule the missed lesson. Once the missed lesson returns to the student's balance, they can schedule it with you again.

  • Manage negative reviews. If a student gives you a bad rating or review for a missed lesson, but you work things out, you can ask them to edit it.

Where can I find the lesson ID?

The lesson ID is the unique number assigned to each lesson by the platform. This number is in My Lessons, under past or upcoming lessons.

Each lesson has a six-digit ID at the top left corner to be correctly identified.

My student doesn't show up for the lessons regularly.

If your student misses more than two scheduled lessons in a row and remains unresponsive to your messages, it's important to take action. As a tutor, you are expected to inform us about inactive students who are not attending lessons. We will look into the situation and check if everything is fine with the student.
