I received a bad RATING. Can you delete it?

First of all, don’t worry!
Reach out to the student proactively to understand what went wrong and suggest ways to improve their experience. If you can resolve the issue, they may be willing to change their rating. If the student isn’t aware that they can change their rating, kindly remind them about this option.

We’ll also contact both you and the student to find out what happened. If we find out that the rating is unreasonable, you can request its removal. We’ll review your request and take appropriate action.

🙌🏻 Remember: Open communication is key! By addressing concerns proactively, you can improve your ratings and enhance your teaching experience.

I received a bad REVIEW. Can you delete it?

💡We always encourage students to leave honest and grounded reviews as they help the tutor improve. Addressing reviews on your profile openly shows potential students that you handle feedback professionally and are open to constructive criticism.

Here’s how to handle a negative review after responding to it on your profile:

  • Communicate with the student directly in your chat with them. Ask them about their experience and what led to their dissatisfaction. This dialogue can help clarify any misunderstandings.

  • Offer solutions if the student highlights specific concerns. A thoughtful response can go a long way in rebuilding trust.

  • If you manage to resolve the issue, kindly ask the student if they would be willing to delete their review.

  • If they agree, you can then request the deletion from our support team.

⚠️ If the student's review is unreasonable or inappropriate, you can request its removal. We’ll review your request and take appropriate action.

My Lesson Hourly Rate dropped. Why?

We understand that seeing a drop in your tutor level can be confusing and frustrating.

Here’s why it could happen:

Total XP (which determines your rate per lesson) is based on two main factors over the past 365 days: the number of regular lessons you've conducted & the number of students who subscribed after their trial lessons.

This calculation is rolling, meaning it updates daily to reflect your most recent activity.
If you haven't been conducting regular lessons on a day-to-day basis, your tutor level may decrease. When you are on the edge of a level, your XP may fluctuate more often if there are fewer days with repeating lessons.

What can you do to improve your level?

We encourage you to focus on providing quality lessons, as this will motivate more students to book regular sessions with you. Your dedication is greatly appreciated, and we thank you for being an integral part of our community!

What is the Lesson Success Rate, and how is it calculated?

The lesson success rate is a valuable guide for our students seeking the right tutor. It indicates the percentage of successfully conducted lessons a tutor has had in the past three months.

The formula: Number of Completed Lessons in the last three months/ Total number of Lessons x 100%.

What is the XP Earning System?

The XP Earning System is the system we use to calculate the pay per lesson that each tutor receives.

The tutor's lesson rate is determined by their level in our platform.

The level is subject to your XP and calculated over the last 365 days - each successful lesson brings you at least 1 XP, and when you level up, your rate per lesson also rises.

Conversion bonus - when and how is it applied?

The conversion bonus is an additional payment of $10 and a grant of 2XP to your tutor account.

This bonus is auto-applicable when you conduct a trial lesson with a newly registered student with no previous subscriptions with us.

If they subscribe within 30 days of your trial and continue to have subscription lessons with you, you are eligible to receive this payment.

Please note, however, that if the student has their first subscription lesson with another tutor, you may not be granted this extra pay. To learn more about the Conversion Bonus, please visit:
