"Ask Community": Rules for Tutors

Students and tutors can connect in the Community section sharing language tips, insights, and experiences. Keep it friendly and informative!

Updated over a week ago

The Ask community section is for any questions about languages: learning, teaching, sharing experience, starting discussions, etc. Whether you're a tutor looking to share expertise, or a student curious about grammar, vocabulary, or how to express yourself in a foreign language, this section is the perfect place to connect. Tutors can offer valuable insights, while students can tap into the collective knowledge of the community to enhance their learning experience.

Rules for Tutors

We encourage tutors to:

  • Write your thoughts and explanations instead of copy-pasting someone else’s content. Be yourself, let your personality shine, and students will appreciate it!

  • Refrain from misinforming students in answers intentionally. We’re all learning; we all need help!

  • Avoid sharing personal information (for your own security).

  • Ask relevant questions, share your experience in teaching or learning, or start a discussion on a language-related topic.

  • Avoid promoting yourselves and lessons with you. Also, do not promote other platforms for language learning. The Ask community section is not an announcement board. It's for sharing knowledge only!

  • Avoid asking questions about how the platform works or reporting issues you may face on the platform. Visit our FAQ or contact Support instead.

Also, several things are a no-no in our friendly community:

  • Rudeness, harassment, bullying, or threats

  • Themes of self-harm, sexually explicit content, substance abuse

🔴 We’ll have to delete answers and questions that break these rules or are not relevant to the Community section. Let’s keep it fun, informative, and friendly!
